Brainwave Frequency
What: Brainwaves represent the communication frequency between different neurons in
our brain.
Each time a synchronized electrical pulse of information is exchanged between neurons, it
produces a frequency represented in Hertz (Hz).
Research shows that when one produces Alpha brain waves, one is calmer inside and better
able to focus attention on something.
In Alpha, people absorb new information better, it is stored better and they can recall it
better.
Once programmed into the subconscious mind, this method allows us to retrieve any 'state
of being' from that same subconscious mind literally in the blink of an eye.
By regularly residing in this brainwave frequency, also known as Alpha training, you train a
practical, simple and powerful method to better utilize your mental abilities.
This improves your performance and changes your life for the better.
It teaches you how to enter a state of complete relaxation in a few minutes, both physically
and mentally, and how to actively direct your thinking to get rid of stress, anxiety, sleep
problems, headaches, migraines, burn-out, depression, etc. We limit ourselves here mainly
to teaching the Three-Finger Technique.
This technique is very simple and can be used anytime and anywhere.
Brain waves, a word of explanation:
Beta waves (16-38 Hz.)
Our brain functions most often in this frequency during the course of the (working) day.
After all, it is the state in which we reason, make decisions, work, discuss and generally have
our attention externally focused.
Thus, most people produce Beta waves (90 percent or more of total brain waves).
Someone
who is hyperactive, for example, produces an extremely high number of Beta waves, so this
person's ability to concentrate is very poor.
In small children, the brain generally produces a large percentage of slow brain waves and
few Beta waves.
After the fifth year, this changes slowly.
Usually culture and upbringing affect the percentage of Beta waves.
SMR-waves (12-16 Hz.)
SMR waves (Sensorimotor Rhythm waves) are brain waves with a frequency range of 12 to
16 Hz.
The waves indicate physical rest and sensorimotor awareness.
Alpha-waves (8-12 Hz.)
Alpha waves are associated with a state of relaxation.
These waves start to occur in humans from the second year of age, especially in the occipital
cortex (visual stimuli are processed in this part of the brain).
In the Alpha state, one is alert in a relaxed manner.
In Alpha state one is awake, can think, perceive, study, make music, etc.
Studies show that when one produces Alpha waves one is calmer inside and attention can be
better focused on something.
In Alpha one absorbs new information better, it is stored better and one can recall the
information better.
It is in this Alpha state that one can learn most efficiently.
Within the Alpha range we also find e.g. the Schumann Resonance.
This is the frequency of the earth's electromagnetic field.
The same frequency is given to astronauts when they go into space to prevent space
sickness.
Alpha is not associated with emotions such as fear or aggression.
People in Alpha react less angrily to negative comments and are less likely to become afraid.
The more relaxed a person is in all kinds of situations, the less quickly the person is off
balance.
The presence of many Alpha waves is therefore good for exams, job interviews,
speaking engagements, etc.
Theta-waves (4-8 Hz.)
The Theta layer is also called the 'creative' layer. In the average person, you see these waves
in a state just before waking up or falling asleep.
In this state, one often sees images of
events from the past day.
Sometimes one suddenly sees clearly what one did right or wrong, or one gets a moment of
insight.
Many people have their best inspirations when they are doing something in a state of
relaxation.
Theta - waves can also be had during the day while staring or daydreaming.
A typical
example is when a person is driving along a familiar highway and is in such a deeply relaxed
state in which one forgets that one is driving.
The person then acts at that moment purely from the subconscious part of the brain.
Delta-waves (0,5-4 Hz.)
Delta waves occur mainly in babies and during deep sleep.
The deeper one sleeps the slower brain waves are.
Often one can remember problems and events from early childhood in this state.
When brain waves are in the range between 0.5 Hz. and 4 Hz. we are sleeping.
We are also totally physically relaxed and 'completely gone' for a while.
The Delta state is also a recovery and healing phase of our body because in this state the
human growth hormone is produced.
That is why sleep is so vital (deep sleep). Delta waves sometimes also occur in patients with
certain types of brain diseases (encephalopathy).
Gamma-waves (38-80 Hz.)
Gamma waves have actually only been recognized in the last 10 to 15 years, because at first
they were counted as high Beta Waves.
Gamma waves begin only at 38 Hz. and continue well toward 80 Hz.
In the Gamma state there is strong mental activity such as perception, problem solving and
heightened awareness.
It is in this state that we are most in connection with precognition, clear insights and
perceptions and higher consciousness.
In a nutshell, this is the state in which the Electrical Field of the Human Brain is in when
there is a peak performance, think of the athlete who gets into a Flow-Zone and thus
achieves the feat of a lifetime, the Formula 1 pilot who completes one perfect lap after
another, or the writer who -losing all awareness of time and space- writes day and night on
what later turns out to be a Literary Classic.
Methods for achieving 'Flow' have been very 'in' in recent years and are therefore being
developed at lightning speed by teams of authorities in the field (think e.g. of Steven Kotler
& Jamie Wheal, the authors of 'Stealing Fire') Worldwide and are being applied by the top
people of Google and Mama Alphabet/Apple/Facebook and the Navy Seals, among others.
How?:
Here is an example of the programming of a so-called 'Three-Finger Technique' in Alpha
state.
We begin this exercise with the three to one method.
Sit down in a relax position.
Fix e.g. on the horizontal line of the transition between wall and ceiling (or a branch of a tree
relative to the sky....)
Keep the head straight.
Tilt the eyes at an angle of about 32º - 35º.
Move yourself in your mind to your own favorite place (this can be an existing- or a created
location).
zijn).
This is your creation, here everything is perfect for you (temperature, smell, environment,
fauna and flora...).
Close your eyes, keep them tilted as much as possible at the 35º angle, visualize in your mind
the horizontal line, take a deep breath and as you exhale mentally visualize the number 3
three times (first larger than yourself, this fades, second equally large, fades, third smaller
than yourself and fades)
Own creation = own texture, color....
You are now at a physically (more) relaxed level.
Take another deep breath and as you exhale mentally visualize the number *two three
times.
You are now at a mentally (more) relaxed level.
Take another deep breath and as you exhale visualize the number *one three times.
You are now at a basic level..
*Times the same order from big to small, so:
3x the number 3, 3x the number 2, 3x the number 1
Say to yourself:
'This basic level I can use for some goal, any goal I wish.
This is where I put my dreams and wishes into reality.
At this level I feel myself completely relaxed, both physically and mentally.
Every time I come here I put down new reference points for the future and I get better and
better.'
Now state for yourself what you came here for, example:
'I am now programming the three-finger technique:
'I am fully - this mentally as well as physically - in balance in my subconscious mind'
'AND SO IT IS!', a state which you can quickly recall from this moment on at any time
(***this by simply tilting the eyes about 35º and, if possible, closing them briefly, placing the
fingertips of thumb, index and middle fingers together and repeating the programmed
phrase, always ending with: 'AND SO IT IS!').
You now return to the physical level of consciousness (from this- or from a deeper level) by
inwardly counting from one to five.
Here you also say to yourself in your mind: 'after the fifth count, I will open my eyes, I will
*...be clear and awake, I will feel good and be in perfect health, I will see and hear better
than ever before, and also this new short three-finger technique (example: I am fully -
mentally as well as physically - in balance in my subconscious mind, and so it is!) is
programmed in my subconscious mind from now on and can be simply activated by repeating
the *** technique.
Start counting: one, two, three and repeat the italic text (can also be your own version) and
then continue: four, five and say: 'when in now open eyes I will *....'.
So in total you repeat the italicized text three times , from then on what you intended to
program has been incorporated into your subconscious and, in case this is a 'three-finger
technique', from now on you can simply activate it by the previously described ***shortcut'
